Moon on the water

"Child of the night," Daemon said, just loudly enough for her to hear him.

Jessica jumped slightly "I am no such thing" she said softly pulling her feet up to her.

"That is what you would try to believe; your scent says otherwise. You are meant to be a huntress."

Jessica turned to face him "and what would you know of such things." she said her eyes as blue as the water "I did not ask to be this".

"I know of your scent," he said, "and the look of you; innate power, if only you would allow it to be trained."

"I want to help you," he said, "for if I am not mistaken, those who have done you wrong are those who I wish to destroy as well; a group of vampires. You likely do not know, but they call themselves the Milaise; they consider themself a great power among the vampires, and they are-but I would destroy them for what they have done to those I consider friends."

Jessica shied away at the name "I have heard of them it was one of them who sired me" she shivered "I can still feel him even now"

"Then help me," he said quietly, "you have the talent; you have the gifts; you have been given what you need. Vampirism unlocks innate talents in the humans who are given it. Use those talents to destroy them."
