Haunted...

Di held her ground, driving the sword forward into its scales. The runes began to glow and the scales seemed suddenly to be melting.

The dragon froze , then let out a blood curling scream that shook even the skies as the sword melted through the left of it underside.

As soon as it pulled away it's scales blew off like shattered glass. There in the place of the dragon stood a certian demon grimacing in pain, displeasure, and hate. His expression half crazed as he held a large bloody hole in his belly.

Dark tore up and away from from the girl. Snarling his rage as he pelted and blasted out the collapsed entrance oof the ruins

Di sank to the ground, her hands on the hilt of the blade. She looked at it and then closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.

"The entire place is going to collapse," she muttered, "with me in it. But I have to get to the sacred chamber... I cannot allow the artifacts to be destroyed..."

And thus she began to run further into the crypt.

Di rushed into the main chamber, which was sealed against those who did not know the ancient language or its magics. She grabbed the artifacts as the place began to crumble, and covered them with her body as the ceiling collapsed on top of her...

There was a slight hissing sound as the pieces of marble fell around her and knocked her off her feet... and then there was silence in the rubble.
