Haunted...

The shadows of trees and tombs were cast across the land by the bright full moon as she ran, weaving through the stones, not sure what she was running from yet too terrified to stop; it seemed that there was also something she was running to.

She tripped over a small tombstone and flew through the air, landing against a large crypt, on which was engraved Elvish runes that meant the following:

"Sacred are those beyond the grave;
Do not disturb their sleep,
Wish only for their silent watch."

Ignoring the loud crunch sound her back had made, she moved slightly to read this encryption, and stared at it for quite some time.

"Lalalalalala" Que sang as he decended downward towards the girl with a big smile. "Hello thar miss." Que said smiling. He stugied the girl and gave her a small hug seeing she was a little freaked out.

Di blinked and raised an eyebrow at the kid.

"Um... who are you exactly?"

"I'm Que!" He said with a big smile his angel wings retracting back into his body. "What ya doind in this creepy place?" He asked innocently.

"Wandering about," she said, her eyebrow still raised.

"It can be pretty creepy out here ay night can't it?" Que said looking around still smiling.

She shrugged; her sense of urgency, of being chased, had utterly disappeared. She had found what she had been looking for. The crypt could wait for her explorations...

"I suppose."

"Whats your name Miss?" Que said smiling looking at the moon and then back at her.

"I'm Di," she said, smiling; it was a bitter smile, but she hoped the bitterness would be lost on the child.

"Why were you running away a few minutes ago?" Que said looking at her.

"It's a long story; and one I don't care to tell."

"Fair nuf." Que sad giggling and hugging her. He had a bond with most people and things and cared about most people.

She blinked and stared at the kid... such innocence. She bit her lip, not particularly wanting to ruin that; her own innocence had been ruined and she didn't want to do that to anyone else. But if he hung around her for too long...

"You smells very prettyful." Que said snuggling his head agaist the side of her leg.

She smiled slightly, resisting the urge to laugh. This kid had no idea what she was...

Ryu smirked, watching from a distance.


'this should be fun'

He raised a large wing and turned himself into an earth elemental dragon.

He driled into the ground and underneath both di and Que.

The ground shook as coils of hard scales circled the two

Di's arms instinctively wrapped around the kid in her arms and she shielded him from the worst of the impact, and watched the coils of spikes circling around her.

"Cowardly," she muttered under her breath, eyeing them cautiously.

"Hmm a game?" Que said as his wings grew out. It was hard but he flew up with her holding him avoiding the on coming atack.

In the sky another dragon circled them growling this time it was an air dragon with it's enormous wingspan covering half the sky

"Fly on your own," she said to the boy, and then jumped for the dragon, one hand landing on its left wing, digging her claw like nails into it and climbing up onto its wing and then onto its body.

The air dragon turned into heavy mist

Di fell to the ground but landed on her feet like a cat. She looked at the coils which were now closing in around her and after a moment's thought jumped over to the other side. She sighed and looked up at the old Elvish tomb.

"You'd better have what I need," she said, and hurled herself through the door, crashing through it and down the flight of stairs on the other side.

The dragon lunged after her crashing through the entrance, Roaring .

"Begone from this Holy place!" she yelled, turning to face him. She had found something of use-not what she was looking for, but it would do.

There was a silver sword now in her hand with black runes carved into it. She held it in front of her, ready to fight the dragon.

The dragon roared and lunged towards the girl again
