A Conversation...

"No, you fucking leave me alone, you understand me?"
Connan, you have an obligation to avenge them, you understand me? Don't fucking look away.
"What the fuck is it to you!?"

This was the first time Connan had met him; A dark haired stranger who knew too much. Who knew everything.

Excuse me if I have a vested intrest in keeping you alive.
"Just because you want me alive doesn't mean you can control me, you bastard."
What are you going to do, resist? Run away and hide? I'll find you if I need to, you know.

Connan pointed a gun at him. "You leave me the fuck alone."

He grinned, and Connan pulled the trigger. The gunshot broke the air... and Connan couldn't see him. There was a hole in the cement of the wall, but no blood.

"Speedy son of a bitch." Connan sat down, running a hand through his hair, and keeping his gun firmly gripped.

Strolling down the streets, Yuuki noticed a familiar face sitting in the alley. She stood there for a moment, deciding whether or not she should go in. Agianst her better judgement she entered the Alley, "Hey you okay?"

Connan raised the gun, standing.

"Did you see him?"

Yukki froze in her spot, "See who?"

"A guy about my height, dark hair, blue jacket - there's only one exit out of this alley, so either you passed him or-"
Or I'm still here.

Connan turned to face him, gun raised. "Thought you had enough sense to run after the first time I shot you."

She blinked, confused. 'Why would I run? My arm is better." She looked at where he was pointing the gun, "Um..are you blind?"

Why would I run, Conn? And what good will killing me do? I know this much, so I can help you think, help you rationalise your plans; Hell maybe I'm one of yours that you forgot, just like Chilling...

"Shut up! SHUT UP. Get the hell away from me - now."

He walked away, and Connan trained the gun on him til, smirking, he was gone. Then Connan ran a hand through his hair.

"Blind? What do you mean?"

"Sorry! I'll leave you now. Sorry for bothering you." She turned to leave.

"You weren't bothering me; what the hell are you talking about? I was talking to that guy."

She stopped, turned and looked around. "What guy? We are the only ones here."

"He just left - what are you on girl?"

"Excuse me? I'm not on anything. There is.. was no one here but you." She looked at him worried, "Are you okay..up there?" Points to her head.

'She didn't see him? What is this guy, a demon or something?'

"No...No I'm fine."

She nodded, "Alright. Then..who do you think you were talking to?"

"No one- just a thought, you know? What I said to someone a while back..."

"Wait..what? Reliving your past? That's creepy as all hell."

"No, not reliving my past, just... Look, forget it, it's not important."

"So.. you want to put the gun, mister?" She asked getting kind of nervous.

Connan looked at her, then at the hand gun he still held.

"I... yeah..."

Flipping it to safety, he holstered it.

She smiled, "Thank you. Don't want to get shot by accident again."

"It's fine"

Connan put a hand to his head, staggering to the side slightly. For no apparent reason, he had a God-awful headache.

Yuuki noticed him stagger, "Are you sure you're alright? Want me to help you home?"
